Is my ASWA Diploma course tax deductible?

For employees and the self-employed – you can potentially claim this as a work related, self education expense when:

  • in doing so you maintained or improved a skill or specific knowledge required for your current work activities, as part of your professional development,
  • you could show that the course was leading to, or was likely to lead to, increased income from your current work activities, or
  • other circumstances existed which established a direct connection between the course and your current work activities.

Please check with your accountant or taxation consultant before enrolling to confirm whether our courses would be applicable as a work related, self education expense for your individual tax return.

  • you could show that the course was leading to, or was likely to lead to, increased income from your current or planned business activities, or
  • other circumstances existed which established a direct connection between the course and your current or planned work activities.

Please check with your accountant or taxation consultant to confirm whether our courses would be applicable as an expense for your business’ tax return.
