This cross-sector Nationally Recognised qualfication course reflects the role of Workplace Wellness Leaders who utilise strategic thinking and communication skills to develop, implement, evaluate and monitor strategies and plans that promote a whole-person and whole of organisation strategic approach to employee mental health and wellbeing.

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to perform the following tasks associated with Workplace Wellness Leaders:

  • Develop, implement, evaluate and monitor workplace wellness strategies that support a positive and healthy work culture
  • Lead and manage effective workplace relationships and teams to support employee wellbeing
  • Develop, implement, evaluate and monitor wellness plans and strategies for individuals, work teams and organisations
  • Integrate wellness principles and strategies into lives and embed into workplace systems and settings to optimise engagement and performance of individuals and teams
  • Communicate effectively to ensure effective outcomes of developed wellness strategies
  • Manage psychological health and wellbeing in the workplace and provide support to others within an organisation or work area
  • Act within the scope of practice of a Wellness Leader and identify when referral to health professionals is required.

Mentoring by an experienced professional Wellness Leader is a valuable component of this professional development program. Mentoring sessions take place at two to four-week intervals and go for around an hour long. During these sessions, the mentor uses their industry experience combined with listening and questioning techniques to guide you along your professional Wellness Leadership journey.

You have a total of 12 months to complete the course. Should your goal be to complete the course in a shorter time frame that is certainly achievable. We have highly experienced mentors available to personally guide and support you through all of your training and assessment requirements.

Course extensions are available if required.


Assessment in this course includes highly relevant and interesting case studies, activities and projects. You can develop and use your newfound knowledge and skills immediately for the benefit of your current workplace or within your own business.

To successfully complete this program, participants are expected to have high level written and spoken English language skills, literacy and numeracy levels, the ability to interpret complex documents, prepare written reports and to be able to explain wellness concepts.

Your experienced course mentor is directly available via email, phone and virtual communications, to provide feedback and guidance, when and as needed. Your competence, confidence and enjoyment of your learning journey is our priority. Your course framework is supported by Australia’s competency-based standards that enable you to have multiple attempts at submitting assessments until you are competent and confident. Our well experienced trainers and mentors are very happy to be flexible with structuring assessments around the most relevant needs of your business or workplace to support your goals and objectives.

The Australasian Sustainable Wellness Academy accepts applications from students based anywhere in the world. As a general rule, the Australasian Sustainable Wellness Academy imposes a minimum age requirement of 17 years.

Our applicants typically include experienced work professionals and students who have completed Year 12 in Queensland or elsewhere in Australia, and international students who have completed equivalent secondary school studies in their own countries.

Please note: This program is delivered 100% online.

English language proficiency requirements

As tuition is delivered in English, all students will be required to complete an online Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test as documented evidence of the required level of proficiency in the English language.

Credit for prior study

Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Enrolments Team.

The course fee for the 11047 Diploma of Wellness Leadership course is AU$9,950 and is GST exempt, including a deposit of $1500.00

Enrolments in our courses are accepted all year round to suit your life and work schedule.

Payment Options

You can choose one of the following Four Options:

Option One – 12-months (Full-time)

  • Deposit of $1500.00, then 12 equal monthly payments of $704.17; OR
  • Deposit of $1500.00, then 52 equal weekly payments of $162.50

NOTE: you can pause payments at any time if you need to.

Option Two – 24 months (Part-time)

  • Deposit of $1500.00, then 24 equal monthly payments of $352.08; OR
  • Deposit of $1500.00, then 104 equal weekly payments of $81.25

 Option Three -Where an employer or organisation is partly or fully funding the course:

  • $2700 – Deposit / Commencement of Training
  • $2,700 – 2 month after enrolment date
  • $2,700 – 6 months after enrolment date
  • $1,850 – 8 months after enrolment date
